TTMMHTM: Mobile accessibility, Origami, naughty Sesame Street, Flickr with Video and YQL step by step

Things that made me happy this morning (Atlanta, GA, 6am – jetlag anyone?)

  • Cracked.com has an amazingly sane “5 things you think will make you happy but won’t”:http://www.cracked.com/article_17061_5-things-you-think-will-make-you-happy-but-wont.html going through, fame, wealth and beauty amongst other things. It is true, I have an abundance of each one of them and still I have to find other things to fill this list.
  • A good picture of “god’s control buttons”:http://maneggs.com/2007/08/29/gods_buttons/ reminds me of the Farside “god at his computer”.
  • There’s a good new overview site out on “mobile accessibility”:http://mobileaccessibility.info/index.cfm
  • Dr.Jim O’Donnell did a good writeup of “how he brought the National Maritime Museum data into YQL using Open Tables”:http://eatyourgreens.org.uk/archives/2009/03/opening-up-data-with-yql.html
  • Sam Pullara has two “seriously funny kids”:http://www.javarants.com/my-kids-quotes/
  • An unbelievable “cool video using Origami paper art”:http://lagoamedia.com/FreshFishFootage/111/a-corporate-video-that-will-blow-your-mind/
Origami In the Pursuit of Perfection from MABONA ORIGAMI on Vimeo.
  • People found “a pink dolphin”:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/4927224/Pink-dolphin-appears-in-US-lake.html – I always knew dolphin’s were gay sharks.
  • Three of my ex-colleagues got together and release a lot of good things on “Project Fondue”:http://projectfondue.com/ including a “Unix Permissions Calculator”:http://permissions-calculator.org/ and a “a Favicon Generator”:http://favicon-generator.org/.
  • I am one of the “40 web developers to follow”:http://thinkvitamin.com/dev/40-web-developers-to-follow-on-twitter/ according to Thinkvitamin – right now about 150 new followers came from that.
  • Adding a “bleep* to songs does not only make naughty songs radio-proof, no it can also make innocent songs sound naughty. Check out the “count from Sesame Street and what he bleeps all day long”:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-Wd-Q3F8KM
  • “Flickr now has video for all users and video in HD”:http://blog.flickr.net/2009/03/02/video-for-all-hd/ – long photos win!
