    Hi Chris!

I was browsing the local bookshop yesterday to find something to help me learn to use javascript. I’ve been working with HTML/CSS and a bit of PHP only for a few years now, and want to further my skills.

What made me pic javascript? A friend led me to this website: mootools.net. I saw a few things that amazed me. Javascript seems to be a way that simple things i used to think needed to be done in flash can be done in JS. Then I realized that many pages I thought were done in flash were actually using JS.

At the store, I found your book “Beginning JavaScript with DOM Scripting and Ajax: From Novice to Professional.” Looks good to me!

Could you check out mootools.net for me and give me your thoughts on it? Is it something a novice like me could use? And how should I think of it in relation to your book?

Thank you for your time. And thank you for writing such a book to share your knowledge with us all! _
    Vira
