This article is surely a good initiative and have come a long way.

In my opinion Design & Content are no separate things and both need to be crafted keeping the users in mind. In today’s scenario the web is not just a piece of information but a more reputable communication tool of a company. I will say face of a company or individual so design is as important as the content is. The whole purpose of any web site is to share relevant information with their users so we can’t ignore them. Design doesn’t mean that it needs to be flashy or too creative a simple design with the right content on the right place as per user need is what will bring success.

A great list. I didn’t tend to read it as a ranked list, as some did, but rather as simply a great collection of things to remember any time you are putting together a site. I think the one that struck me the most, though, is “it’s about sharing. I really think the web is beginning to re-define the way we think of ownership. Increasingly, as you mention, any given site is going to be made up of lots of pieces from other sites. If it doesn’t employ “borrowed graphics or other design elements, certainly we all pick each others’ brains when it comes to code. I suspect that eventually this may trickle down to the real world, with artistic and even commercial ideas about intellectual property shifting to allow more usage of pre-existing content (we already see this kind of thing in the music industry, with the widespread use of sampling). Many in the corporate world are fighting this change as hard as they can, but I think the way the web works will ultimately determine how things finally wind up.

You are right... because of your hint with the .PDF files, I just changed my site. So the users will not be forced to view the documents.

Thank you very much,
