I got my laptop stolen yesterday night

During a substandards meeting. I am really really down and annoyed about this, especially as I had half a chapter of the new book and a lot of photos on it that were not on flickr yet. I was also really annoyed that the police expects you to go to the next police station to report things like that yourself as “there are not enough policemen in the area”. The pub is in Covent Garden. If you see someone with a T43 IBM Thinkpad with a “Do you flickr” and a Creative Commons Sticker, just punch him and bring him here.

Sorry to hear Chris. It’s frustrating because the hassle to replace it is much more than what it will be worth to the person who stole it.

That totally blows… No GPS installed on it by any chance?

    That really sucks!

I hope you have better luck with your new Mac than I did. Don’t get it from the Apple Store in Regents St… But then you know all about that one as well!

I’m so sorry to hear about the theft of your laptop. I can sympathize since mine was stolen from my workstation during business hours. I’ve done everything possible –as I had a book on there written over the course of 9 years, and loads of valuable, irreplacabel pictures, videos, songs, and origional works on it. I know what you mean about he police dragging their heals. It’s been 48 hours, and they still have not entered my file into the database and assigned it to a detective. This being the Valley, I’m possitive I’ll never see my baby again.

I really do hope that you find your computer intact, and that the bastard dies a horrible, horrible death.

Keep checking Craigslist, Ebay, and local pawn shops.
