For the record, I would have agreed with the last commenter regarding “learnt” except that I checked it out and technically, it is correct — for users of British English. To Americans, it sounds like slang. But I live in QuÃ©bec and my daughter, who is French-speaking, “learnt” this form of the verb as well (which is what led me to do a bit of research).

At the beginning of this page you use the word: ‘learnt’. Doesn’t exist. It is past tense…..”learned” Please make the correction. I see things like that and wonder about what all the author has written. The code could be sloppy also.

I think in the future JavaScript will no longer be used in the web; it may turn completely to the offline world. It’s getting already more successful in many offline applications more than web pages.

JavaScript is not only used in browsers â�� many applications start supporting it as a means to extend and script for them â�� the new Yahoo! Messenger 8 being one of them.

This is really good to see Chris, and I’m sure I’d use it if I used messenger a lot (software like that is not allowed at my place of work. There’s no direct internet access anyway).

For some time BEA Weblogic Workshop has offered JS extension that can be used for Web service XML message transformations. I’ve not really used that either, but it’s nice to know it’s available if needed.

It’s always pleasing to discover JavaScript support in non-browser applications, and to see JavaScript being taken seriously. Good work.
